● Hardware: A desktop or laptop is necessary for the best experience.
● Browser: Use Chrome browser and incognito window for optimal performance.
● Internet Speed: A minimum dedicated bandwidth of 8 MBPS is required for effective use of Litcoder. However, we recommend a broadband connection of at least 30 MBPS for an ideal experience. Ensure that this bandwidth is dedicated and not shared with others on the same network to ensure smooth platform usage.
● Save - saves your work done so far. You should do this frequently. Only saved submissions are evaluated.
● Next/Prev - allows you to navigate through each of the questions in the lab. Remember to 'Save' your work before navigating to the next/prev question.
● Submit Lab - Once you have completed all the questions of the lab, you can submit the lab for review. Once the lab is submitted, you will not be able to take the lab again. Only submitted labs are reviewed.
Labs enable you to practice coding in real time and identify the steps that you are performing successfully and those that you need to revisit and improve. All Litcoder practice labs and exercises are carefully curated for a range of problems and 3 levels of difficulties. You can practice using six popular scripting languages: C#, PHP, C++, Python, Java, and JavaScript.
On the other hand, contests include a plethora of programming challenges with differing levels of difficulty to assess your coding capabilities, within a certain timeframe.
At Litcoder, we have various proctoring measures in place to maintain and ensure integrity:
● Cut/Copy/Paste Proctoring: If you attempt to use cut,
copy, or paste (Ctrl+X, Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V), a warning
message
will appear, informing you that such actions are not
allowed
during the test, and your activity is being
monitored.
● Tab Proctoring: Switching between tabs in your browser
is
not permitted during the test. If you attempt to do so,
a
warning message will be displayed, indicating that this
action is being monitored.
● Browser Window Proctoring: Switching to another
application using Alt+Tab is restricted during the test.
If
you try to switch, a warning message will be shown,
notifying you that this action is being
monitored.
● Window Resize Proctoring: Resizing your browser window
to
a smaller size during the test is not allowed. If you
attempt to resize, a warning message will appear,
notifying
you that this action is being monitored. We take these
measures to maintain a secure testing environment for
all
users.
The language for each lab, contest, or learning module is predetermined, and you cannot change it on the platform. These languages are assigned by your college/company's SPOC or Litcoder's SPOC.
If you're a college student or your assessment is assigned by a company, reach out to the relevant SPOC for assistance with language changes. If you don't fall into these categories, you can contact us at support@litwork.in, and we'll assist you further.
